Northern California Swim League

The Northern California Swim league was founded in 1993 with 11 original teams. In that founding year, the league had 1,711 registered swimmers. The Northern California swim league has grown to 26 teams and now has over 5,200 swimmers. To accommodate dual meets and maintain a competitive nature within the league, we arranged into five different conferences. The conferences are realigned on a regular basis to insure the most competitive meets possible.

The founding principles of our league are:

(a)   To establish, operate and promote a regularly scheduled summer recreation age group swimming program in the Sacramento Valley / Sierra Foothills area.

(b)   To be basically recreational in nature and to promote good sportsmanship, physical fitness and team spirit.

(c)   To promote the participation during the course of the swim season of all swimmers, regardless of swimming proficiency, thereby enabling the maximum number of swimmers to enjoy a well-rounded, recreational program.

(d)   To recognize the need for, and seek to maintain to the maximum extent possible, competitive parity among the teams participating in the League.
